Methodology & Sources
At 0DTE Options News, we combine strict journalistic attribution with automated systems to process macroeconomic data at the speed of modern markets. This page outlines our methodology, from how we source our information to how we utilize AI in our editorial pipeline.
Primary Sources & Attribution
Our reporting is fundamentally driven by primary data sources. We do not aggregate unsourced rumors. When we publish market-moving news, it originates from identifiable official entities or recognized exchanges.
- Current Automated Sources: Our production pipeline currently ingests official RSS feeds from the Federal Reserve (FOMC updates and press releases).
- Future & Editorial Sources: We intend to implement automated ingestion for the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA), U.S. Treasury, and options data from exchanges like Cboe. Currently, any data from these sources is manually incorporated as editorial reference material, as reliable automated public endpoints either require licensing or are in development.
- Original Synthesis: Our role is to contextualize this data for the 0DTE options trader. We summarize, highlight intraday relevance, and explain structural implications rather than merely reproducing third-party reporting.
AI & Automation Disclosure
To deliver real-time coverage of fast-moving data drops (like a CPI print or FOMC rate decision), our publishing pipeline utilizes automated ingestion and AI-assisted drafting.
- Data Ingestion: Our systems automatically monitor and normalize press releases and data publications from our approved primary sources.
- AI-Assisted Drafting: We use AI models to rapidly extract factual data points, summarize the context, and draft the initial structure of an article.
- Strict Guardrails: The AI is strictly barred from hallucinating prices, inventing quotes, or fabricating market sentiment. It is used as a tool to process verified data faster, not to generate original facts.
- Editorial Integrity: All final output is attributed to the 0DTE Options Editorial Desk, ensuring accountability for the published context. We do not use fake author personas to obscure the use of automated workflows.
News vs. Educational Content
We maintain a clear distinction between breaking news and evergreen educational material.
- News Articles: These are time-sensitive reports tied to specific intraday events, always featuring a clear publication date and source attribution.
- Guides: These are foundational, educational articles designed to explain market mechanics (e.g., Gamma, Theta, Index pricing) and are not driven by breaking events.
Data Timestamps & Limitations
Given the volatility of 0DTE markets, a data point can become stale in seconds. Our articles display the original publication time and any subsequent update times. However, readers must understand that any quoted market data (such as SPX premiums or VIX levels) represents a snapshot at the time of writing and may not reflect real-time pricing.
